JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida and Georgia residents are preparing for a second major hurricane to make landfall, as powerful Hurricane Milton intensifies in the Gulf of Mexico.

Milton's landfall will come mere weeks after Hurricane Helene ravaged Florida's Gulf Coast, and will bring flooding concerns and widespread power outages across the state and up the First Coast.

Some Northeast Florida counties are under a Hurricane Warning as Milton eyes Florida landfall, with several others under a Tropical Storm Warning.
