JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Five people were reportedly shot Wednesday night in three separate shootings, according to reports by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The first shooting happened around 5:30 p.m., when police were called to a hospital where a 16-year-old victim was being treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Police don't know where the shooting actually happened.
Police confirmed that two people were struck by gunfire after a shooting was reported in the 8300 block of 103rd Street near Advanced Auto Parts around 7 p.m.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a vehicle that had bullet holes.
A passerby picked up the two victims and was on their way to the hospital when they came across an officer working a traffic crash. The officer called in the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, which then transported the two to the hospital. Authorities say they are suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, another two men were shot around 9:50 p.m. in the 7900 block of the Arlington Expressway, JSO said.
Officers said the two were shot by someone in the area before they self-transported themselves to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
JSO is now searching for the suspect vehicle, believed to be a silver Toyota Prius.
If you have any information about any of the shootings, you're asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
