JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Coast News Most Accurate Weather Team™️ is issuing a Weather Impact Alert Day for Saturday, July 20, for strong storms.

What is a Weather Impact Alert Day at First Coast News?

IMPACT: Daily sea breeze storms will erupt again and combine with a deepening upper level trough which will produce scattered to numerous showers and storms. Increased wind shear aloft will also support the risk of severe thunderstorms. Combining that with it being a weekend and plenty of events taking place across the First Coast, there will be some impacts on weekend plans.

NEED: Take it slow on the roads and be mindful of blinding downpours and the potential for hydroplaning. Listen for thunder and be able to take shelter when thunderstorms begin. Have the First Coast News app handy to track our live radar and have severe weather alerts sent directly to you.
