Local Weather: Warm today, cooler temperatures are coming

Some showers will be around until the second front clears our area Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

HEADLINES:

- High rip current risk continues through Friday

- Minor coastal flooding possible Wednesday - Friday

- Temperatures return to the 70s

WEDNESDAY: We'll have an onshore breeze and passing clouds with 20% coverage of showers. It could be windy at times with gust up to 25 mph. A front will settle into our areas and high temperatures will drop into the 70s by Wednesday afternoon.

THURSDAY-FRIDAY: A front will bring some rain, but drier air will rush in behind it and bring sunshine to end the week and start the weekend. Temperatures will drop back to a more seasonal level in the middle 70s by Friday.
