LIST: Emergency resources for soon-to-be Hurricane Helene in Northeast FL & Southeast GA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As Helene approaches the First Coast, we are keeping track of shelters in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. This list will be updated as more information comes available. Landfall is expected in our area Thursday.

If your county is not listed, it will be added once shelter information is released. Bookmark this page, as it will be constantly updated.

Bradford County

  • Opening Thursday at 9 a.m. for families who have a member with special medical needs: Dopson Family Medical Center, 159 N. 3rd St, Macclenny, FL 32063
  • Opening Thursday at 9 a.m.: Macclenny Elementary School, 1 Wild Kitten Dr., Macclenny, FL 32063

Clay County

  • Opening Wednesday at 6 p.m., pet friendly: Orange Park High School
  • Opening Wednesday at 6. p.m., for families with a member with special medical needs: Lake Asbury Junior High School
  • Opening Wednesday at 6 p.m.: Clay High School
  • Opening Wednesday at 6 p.m.: Wilkinson Elementary School.

Duval County

  • Opening Wednesday at 4 p.m. for people with special medical needs and pet-friendly: Atlantic Coast High School, 9735 R. G. Skinner Parkway
  • Opening Wednesday 4 p.m.: Chaffee Trail Elementary, 11400 Sam Caruso Way
  • Opening Wednesday at 4 p.m., open to general public, people with special medical needs & pet friendly: The Legends Center, 5130 Soutel Dr.
  • Opening Wednesday at 4 p.m. to general population & pet-friendly: Landmark Middle
  • Opening Wednesday at 4 p.m. for general population: LaVilla School of the Arts, 501 N. Davis St.
