WATCH: Cellphone video shows high speed chase in Nassau County

This video, taken from a business owner in the same plaza, shows a police officer using stop sticks across State Road 200, in order to pierce the truck's tires.

NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, Fla. — First Coast News has exclusive video of a high speed chase in Nassau County that ended after police used stop sticks to disable a truck they say was stolen.

One business manager heard the tires pop and saw more than 10 police cars pass by her store here on State Road 200.

“I got scared. I actually thought it was one of those lumber trucks," Kat Morrissey, a business manager, said.

Morrissey just opened her shop when around 9:15 Tuesday morning when she heard a loud pop from outside.

“We didn’t know exactly what was happening, but we just saw 20 plus police cars blocking the road," Morrissey said.

The sheriff's office tells First Coast News that stop sticks were used to stop the vehicle, as it ended up in a ditch on the eastbound side of State Road 200 near Interstate 95 in Nassau County.

This video, taken from a business owner in the same plaza shows a police officer rolling out stop sticks across State road 200. Moments later a truck, which police say was stolen runs over the sticks, you can see the tire ripped open with rubber flying onto the roadway.

The chase continued and officers can be seen pulling into a ditch off the roadway.

Morrissey says the roadway was blocked for about 2 hours, before police opened up one lane to traffic.

The truck was later towed from the scene. A Florida highway patrol cruiser with damage to a passenger door, was also placed on a tow truck.

When we told Morrisey police were chasing a stolen truck and that two people were place in custody, she was relieved.

“They did a good job and they acted really fast so I’m happy that they took care of that," Morrissey said.

The Florida Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
