Text-to-911 service 'temporarily suspended' in Nassau County, sheriff's office says

The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says if you attempt to text 911 Wednesday morning, you will receive an automated response.

NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, Fla. — The text-to-911 service in Nassau County has been temporarily suspended, according to a Nassau County Sheriff's Office Facebook post made on Wednesday.

Police say if you attempt to text 911, you will receive an automated response. However, the sheriff's office clarifies in their post that this does not affect the ability to call 911.
