A St. Augustine cat with an impressive mustache is ready to give Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew a run for his money.
The cat's name is "Stache" for obvious reasons and he has the "purrrfect" rags-to-riches story.
In June 2018, when Stache was just 6 weeks old, he was rescued from the undercarriage of a car, where he'd been hiding for three days, according to his owner Wendy Mitchell.
Mitchell said the car belonged to her mother, who had no idea Stache started hiding there after someone abandoned him during a thunderstorm.
"This little baby was in the undercarriage for three days," Mitchell said. "He'd drop down and hide in the garage. When my mom went to the store, he'd hop back into the undercarriage and would drop down again when she got back."
Mitchell's mother didn't know she had a furry mustache-sporting stowaway riding with her during errands until Stache dropped from the undercarriage in front of her, crying and begging for food.
A year later, Stache is well-fed, well-loved and a spitting image of Minshew.
Who do you think has the better 'stache?
