JFRD: Crews working on house fire on Jacksonville's Westside

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says the fire occurred at a home on Chuck Road shortly after 5 a.m. Friday and that the home has no electricity.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department made a post on X saying crews have responded to and are working on putting out a house fire on Jacksonville's Westside Friday morning.

JFRD says the house fire occurred shortly after 5 a.m. in the 2400 block of Chuck Road. First responders say there was one occupant in the home who managed to escape unharmed, as the Red Cross was called to assist him.

JFRD also says the home had no electricity and that some burning candles the occupant was using, is what caused the fire.
