JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The State Attorney's Office made the decision on Tuesday to drop a domestic battery charge Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Isaiah "Zay" Jones was facing, a court document shows.
Jones, 28, was arrested on Nov. 13, 2023, as he was accused of physically harming his child's mother. He was ordered not to contact her.
"After reviewing the evidence in the above-styled case, the undersigned Assistant State Attorney declines to prosecute this defendant for these charges," Assistant State Attorney Marie Theresa Ryan wrote in the document.
Less than 48 hours after being booked into the Duval County Jail, Jones was at the Jaguars' training facility, the Miller Electric Center, practicing.
