JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The FBI is assisting the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in investigating a robbery a 121 Financial Credit Union on the city's Northside.
The robbery may be related to a robbery at a Regions Bank earlier this week. JSO is working with the FBI to confirm this.
A male suspect entered the bank, located at 14023 Revell Drive, at 12:23 p.m. Friday.
According to JSO, he passed the teller a note. The teller handed over an "undisclosed" amount of money.
He took the money and fled on foot.
Detectives were on the scene Friday afternoon to collect physical evidence and identify the suspect.
Possibly related robbery
At the Regions Bank on Busch Drive Wednesday, a suspect stole $2,853 in cash.
Police said there was not a firearm displayed and no one was hurt but, lists the pending charges as "armed robbery - firearm or other deadly weapon" in the incident report.
Police also describe the suspect as a white man standing five feet and nine inches tall, weighs 180 to 200 pounds, is between 43 to 46-years-old and was wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt with 'Nirvana' on it, the incident report states.
