Suspect robs Jacksonville Regions Bank of $2,853, police say

Police say the teller handed over the money and the suspect fled. The suspect is a man who is between 43 and 46-years-old, according to the JSO incident report.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Regions Bank in Jacksonville was robbed Wednesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

At 2:02 p.m., the suspect identified as a man, entered the bank, located at 110 Busch Dr. 

JSO says he passed a note to the teller. The teller gave him $2,853 in cash, according to the incident report.

Police said there was not a firearm displayed and no one was hurt but, lists the pending charges as "armed robbery - firearm or other deadly weapon" in the incident report.

Police also describe the suspect as a white man standing five feet and nine inches tall, weighs 180 to 200 pounds, is between 43 to 46-years-old and was wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt with 'Nirvana' on it, the incident report states.

Robbery detectives and Crime Scene Unit detectives were on scene Wednesday afternoon.
