JSO: Man shot twice on Moncrief Road in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Jadarrius Miller, 26, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was hospitalized after a shooting occurred on Moncrief Road in Jacksonville Wednesday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO's Sergeant Scott says at around 1:45 a.m., officers responded to a call about the man identified as Jadarrius Miller, 26, being shot in the 5000 block of Moncrief Road West. When officers arrived, Scott says they found Miller suffering from two gunshot wounds.

Police say Miller and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"The initial investigation has revealed the victim was walking in the area when an unknown suspect exited an unknown vehicle and shot the victim two times," Scott told First Coast News. "At this point, we believe it's an isolated incident."

The incident report indicates that there are two suspects.
