JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has been charged in the March murder of 28-year-old Devin Pearson, police said Wednesday.
Nigel Sabb, 28, was charged with Pearson's murder from March on McGirts Village Lane. Sabb was arrested in Lake County on an unrelated offense prior to being charged with the murder.
The victim was found by officers with multiple gunshot wounds at approximately 12:50 a.m. March 6.
Police said the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took the victim to a hospital in Orange Park where he was later pronounced dead.
Norman Rucker, a resident nearby, told First Coast News in March the incident made him feel "uncomfortable."
"You know that [when] you go to sleep and wake up and something like this happens around your home, it's no good," Rucker said. "I was just like, 'Wow, I hope that ain't nobody dead.' And to come outside this morning and see this, it's crazy. It's nice and quiet over here, so to know that something like this to happen, it's kind of scary."
