JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 61-year-old Jacksonville man has been charged with the murder of a man in Brentwood on Dec. 23, police said.
About three weeks ago, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a local hospital after 23-year-old Martaiz McGruder walked in with a gunshot wound and later died.
The incident occurred in the 4000 block of Main St., JSO said.
As a result of the detectives investigation, the suspect was identified as Earl Coleman and an arrest warrant was issued. Coleman was arrested Friday with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, the sheriff's office said. He was charged with second degree murder.
