JBPD and FBI make portal for footage or statements from deadly St. Patrick's Day shooting

The agencies want help from anyone with information or videos pertaining to the Sunday shooting.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The Jacksonville Beach Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have developed a digital media tipline  to to receive videos or personal accounts from the areas near the St. Patrick's Day shootings that occurred in Jacksonville Beach Sunday.

The agencies are asking for footage from the following locations between 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday: The Best Western Oceanfront, 305 1st Street North, the boardwalk from 3rd Avenue North to Latham Plaza, and along 1st Street North.

They are also looking for information from Sunday around Beach Boulevard between 1st Street and State Road A1A, the Sneakers Sports Grille parking lot, located at 111 Beach Blvd. from 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Anyone with information or videos of these areas listed can anonymously go to fbi.gov/jaxbeach-shootings to upload or "state any information they feel is important to the successful resolution of these cases," according to JBPD.

JBPD said the first of three shootings on Sunday happened after police dispersed a large group of young adults between 250-to-400 people. The event organizer, DJ Showtime, said it was supposed to be "a day full of games and fun on the beach."

Police on Tuesday identified James Jones III, 21, who was shot by an unknown suspect in the Sneakers Sports Grille parking lot at 8:31 p.m. Sunday.
