Police say at 8:31 p.m., James Jones III, 21, was shot by an unknown suspect in the Sneakers Sports Grille parking lot Sunday night.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The 21-year-old man killed during a shooting in Jacksonville Beach on St. Patrick's Day has been identified by police.

Police say at 8:31 p.m., James Jones III, 21, was shot by an unknown suspect in the Sneakers Sports Grille parking lot Sunday night. Jones was taken to the hospital but he was ultimately pronounced dead.

No suspect is in custody, but investigators say video surveillance captured the suspect who is described as a tall, thin man with a "thin beard or facial hair" wearing dark clothing.

Police say the suspect fled from the scene heading southwest.

Three other people were shot in one of two other shootings that took place Sunday night in Jacksonville Beach.

JBPD said some cameras were not in service Sunday night because they were undergoing a system update, but confirmed that the two shootings that resulted in injuries were captured on video.

Investigators are currently reviewing the video surveillance and will release any images that could aid in their search for the shooting suspects.

Anyone with information regarding any of the shootings is asked to contact the Jacksonville Beach Police Department at (904) 270-1661
