A former Palatka police detective was arrested Wednesday for the second time in a prostitution sting, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
According to a police report, Reno Fells, 53, met with an undercover detective at the Hilton Gardens Inn in San Marco, 1201 Kings Ave.
When Fells entered into the room with the agent, a sexual conversation ensued, the police report said.
The undercover detective signaled to police, who then entered the room and placed Fells under arrest after he was advised to stop resisting.
Fells was arrested and taken to the Duval County Jail, where he has since bonded out.
He was previously arrested in 2014 during another prostitution sting which also resulted in the arrest of 13 other people. He resigned from the Palatka Police Department shortly after this reported incident.
