ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Fourteen people were arrested last week during an undercover prostitution sting, including a detective with the Palatka Police Department, at a motel in St. Johns County.
The operation, dubbed "Operation Summer Lovin'," targeted men and women looking for sex or offering sexual favors in return for money. Those arrested were advertising on a social media site, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. Undercover detectives placed and responded to ads on the site and the suspects responded, according to SJCSO.
A Palatka Police detective, Reno Fells, 47, was arrested during the sting. He faces a charge of procure for prostitution. He was arrested Friday and resigned from the Police Department Sunday. His mug shot was not released because of a legal exemption.
SJCSO teamed up with the St. Augustine Beach Police Department and conducted the sting Wednesday through Saturday.
The individuals arrested were charged with prostitution or procure for prostitution and received bonds of $500 to no bond for a probation violation.

Covoz Vonte Byrd, 31. Released on $1,000 bond.
Sarah Diane Jackson, 28, charge of Prostitution. In jail in lieu of $2,500 bond.
Heather Dawn Eaton, 31, charge of Prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. In jail in lieu of bonds totaling $2,000.
Melissa Ann Parker, 37, Charge of Prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. In jail in lieu of bonds totaling $3,000.
Kelly Sue Swinehart, 37, Charge of Prostitution. Released on $500 bond.
Brandy Michelle Cannon, 23, Charge of Prostitution and Violation of probation. In jail on no bond.
Reno Chevelle Fells, 48, Charge of Procure for Prostitution. Released on $500 bond.
Nicholai Blaze Gardner, 22, Charge with Procure for Prostitution. Released on $500 bond.
Anthony John Pacetti, Charge of Procure for Prostitution. Released on $500 bond.
Lemuel Dennis Jackson, 47, Charge of Procure for Prostitution. Released on $500 bond.
William Jake Barron, 45, Charge of Procure for Prostitution. Released on $500 bond.
