GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — The areas of Southeast Georgia expected to be impacted most by Tropical Storm Debby include Lanier Plaza, Marshside, Belle Point Plantation, Frederica Yacht Club, South Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island.

Officials expect major rain and flooding throughout the day Monday and into Tuesday. Storm surges could reach 2-to-4 feet and potential of winds 30-60 mph sustained.

"Major flooding and rain, that's our main concern here. The areas that typically flood, you're going to see it," Glynn County Emergency Management Director Andrew Leanza said during a Sunday morning update.

If the storm stalls, the rain could leave 12-20 inches of water.

Sandbags are available in Glynn County in the grass parking lot near the Pate Building, 1725 Reynold St., the Public Safety Complex on north side of Animal Services, Fire Station 2 on St. Simons Island and Fire Station 4 on St. Simons Island.
