Roads police recommend avoiding in Baker County

The Baker County Sheriff's Office has released a list of closed roads and roads they believe are dangerous. This list will change quickly as water moves.

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. — Several roads are closed in Baker County Monday due to water in the roadway.

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office and the Baker County Public Works Department are surveying the road conditions. BCSO says closures could change rapidly throughout the day due to the movement of water.

As of 3:35 p.m., the list is as follows:

Turner Cemetery Rd from Hamp Register to JD Smith Trail

The following list is roads with water across the road. Our recommendation is to stay off the roads until the storm passes.

Under water, police recommend staying away

  • Cow Pen Road at Big Drains
  • CR 127 at Osceola Road
  • CR 127 at Annie Mae Paige to trailer park
  • CR 125 at Wassie Fish curve and again north on the straight of way
  • CR 125 at Altman’s store
  • Otis Yarborough Road the road is under water from 8183 to 8685
  • Hunters Ridge Road at Box Culvert
  • CR 229 South from S Prong to Clet Harvey
  • CR 228 is underwater from Blackbottom to 301
  • CR 124 at  John Williams Road
  • Claude Harvey just past Cedar Creek Farms Road
