ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The power to some of Downtown St. Augustine has been disconnected after a person was shocked by a live wire in storm water and had a heart attack, according to St. Augustine Fire Chief Carlos Aviles.
The water was too deep for an ambulance to get through, so a truck had to take the person to dry land. They were able to get into an ambulance from there and were still alive as of Thursday afternoon.
Officials are urging locals to stay out of the water for their safety.
