NWS: EF-1 tornado touched down in St. Johns County during Tuesday's storms

The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed Wednesday that a tornado touched down near the World Golf Village in St. Johns County during Tuesday's storms.

The NWS said the tornado was an EF-1 with 100 mph peak winds. The report says its track length was .6 miles and the tornado was .1 miles wide.

This news comes hours after the NWS confirmed that another EF-1 tornado touched down in Lawty, Fla. in Bradford County Tuesday.
