Jacksonville florist shop accepting supplies to be delivered to Florida city hit hard by Helene

Kuhn Flowers at 3802 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville is accepting supplies to be delivered to a city in the state's Big Bend region hit hard by Helene.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville florist shop is accepting supplies to be delivered to a city in Florida's Big Bend region hit hard by Hurricane Helene.

Kuhn Flowers, located at 3802 Beach Blvd., is collecting the following items, according to their Facebook post:

  • Trash bags
  • Dog food
  • Bleach cleaner
  • Blankets (new)
  • Clothes hangers
  • Moisture absorbers
  • Can openers
  • Kids socks
  • Toddler sippy cups
  • Baby cleansers & wipes
  • Baby bottles
  • Brooms
  • Tarps
  • Bedding sets (new)
  • Moving bags
  • Storage bins
  • Laundry detergent
  • Towels (bath, washcloths, hand, dish)
  • Toilet paper
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Bottled water
  • Chlorine bleach
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Soap

The florist shop's post states a van and 16' truck are "fully stocked with essentials" and are currently on the way to Steinhatchee, which is just south of Perry, Fla., to help with relief efforts.

"But our work doesn't stop here—we're planning another trip next week and need your continued support," the post reads. "Every donation helps us make a difference."
