JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here's what we're expecting Sunday and into next week as a tropical system moves from the Gulf Coast and into Florida.
When: Starting Sunday and lasting into Wednesday.
Impact: Periods of heavy showers and winds will increase. Although, the main concern of storm surge and high winds looks to be south of I-4. We will see our tidal waters increase to about 2 feet above normal. So, this in combination with heavy rain will create the potential for some street flooding in areas that drain poorly when tidal waters are high.
Need: Give yourself plenty of travel time so you can take a detour if needed. Some of the same roads that flooded with events of the last two months will be susceptible again.
