JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A passenger on his way to Orlando from Dallas will never forget the emergency landing the flight had to make after a fire broke out in an overhead bin.
But, it's an experience he's hoping his wallet can forget.
Joseph Fleck told First Coast News he was still waiting for his full reimbursement a week and a half after the flight.
After the story aired, Spirit Airlines called the First Coast News newsroom to say Fleck will receive a full refund.
Fleck confirmed he was told he'll get a check in the mail to reimburse the $200 Uber he had to take to get his family to Disney after landing two hours away.
