LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Get the sunscreen and swimsuits ready! Walt Disney World Resort announced tickets are now on sale for Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, set to reopen on March 7, 2021.
According to Disney Parks Blog, a one-day water park ticket costs $69 plus tax for adults and $63 plus tax for children age 3 through 9. Other ticket options are also available.
"Cast members are working hard to prepare Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park for its reopening on March 7, 2021," the blog site says. "Disney Water Parks fans are roughly one month, one week, one day and 22 hours away from once again leisurely floating along Cross Country Creek, speeding down Summit Plummet and indulging in their favorite meals at the Lottawatta Lodge."
When the water park reopens, there will be plenty of health and safety protocols in place to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Reduced capacity, temperature screenings, physical distancing and face coverings will all be required.
Masks will be required for guests age 2 and up at the park entrance and exit, retail areas and food and beverage ordering areas, the Disney Parks site says. Face coverings will not be permitted while on water slides or in the water, and guests will also be able to remove their masks when eating or drinking while stationary and maintaining social distancing.
Tickets can be purchased at disneyworld.com and will remain valid through Dec. 31, 2021.
The news comes just a few weeks after Disney Parks made its Park Hopper tickets available for park guests, allowing people who buy a ticket with Park Hopper benefits to visit more than one park in a day. Guests will still have to make a reservation at the first park they plan to visit before they can head to another one after 2 p.m.
