JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The vehicle fire that shut down all lanes of Interstate 95 was a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office vehicle.
All lanes were closed on Interstate 95 after emergency personnel responded to an SUV on fire with plumes of smoke smothering the busy roadway before Myrtle Street.
The crash occurred around 4:50 p.m., according to FDOT and is classified as "major."
There were no injuries or transports, according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
