2 women dead, 1 man critically injured from crash in St. Augustine

The passengers of the sports utility vehicle died, FHP said. Troopers only identified them as a 65-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman, both from out of state.

Two women are dead and a man is in critical condition following a three-vehicle crash in St. Augustine Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the crash happened at State Road 16 and Kenton Morrison Road around 7 p.m.

The driver of a van was approaching the intersection and failed to slow down, colliding into another vehicle, identified as a sports utility vehicle by FHP. Both vehicles came to a rest on the west side of the intersection.

The passengers of the sports utility vehicle died, FHP said. Troopers only identified them as a 65-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman, both from out of state.

The driver of the sports utility vehicle, a 71-year-old man, was critically injured.
