JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two outside lanes of the Dames Point Bridge will be closed for cable maintenance on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
FDOT crews will perform maintenance on the bridge's wind-ties, which are used to stabilize cable-stayed bridges. A 230-foot lift will be used during maintenance.
Crews will start work on the south side of the bridge, effecting closures for southbound traffic starting at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Once work is complete, crews will then switch to the north side of the bridge which will effect closures on the northbound lanes until 7 p.m. each day.
