JSO: Civilian employee with sheriff's office injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-10, lanes reopened

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash Wednesday morning.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office car was one of three vehicles involved in a crash on Interstate 10 Wednesday morning, causing two eastbound lanes right before the McDuff Avenue exit to shut down.

The crash happened around 5:25 a.m., according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. And lanes have since reopened, according to JSO.

JFRD tells First Coast News one person was taken to a local hospital. JSO says the individual who was hospitalized is a civilian employee with the sheriff's office, and he suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

The crash caused two I-10 eastbound lanes to close. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said one person was rushed to a local hospital.
