JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: All I-95 lanes have reopened at University Boulevard in Jacksonville as of 8:39 a.m. after a crash with injuries caused two northbound lanes to close Thursday.
Two northbound lanes are currently blocked on Interstate 95 at University Boulevard in Jacksonville Thursday morning due to a traffic accident with one person confirmed trapped, according to an X post by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
JFRD says that the accident is an MCI level one which means eight vehicles are involved in the accident, as delays are expected. JFRD also tells First Coast News that three people have been taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to JFRD's post, one lane is still open.
