JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 38-year-old man is dead following a crash on the off-ramp from JTB to Southside Boulevard Friday, according to The Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP says the crash occurred around 5 a.m. when he was traveling south on the entrance ramp to State Road 202 West from Southside Boulevard.
Troopers say for an unknown reason, the vehicle departed the roadway onto the left shoulder. It then traveled across the exit ramp to Southside Boulevard going south from State Road 202 west and collided with a tree on the right shoulder. The driver was pronounced dead on scene, FHP says.
Troopers say the man was from Orange Park.
