Seven injured, in serious condition, after Nassau County crash

Charges are pending after the wreck that occurred Friday at SR-200 and Timbercreek Blvd. One of those injured is a 2-year-old who wasn't in child restraints.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol says charges are pending after seven people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at about 6:50 p.m. Friday at SR-200 and Timbercreek Boulevard in Nassau County.

An SUV with two passengers was traveling west on SR-200 preparing to turn left onto Timbercreek Boulevard. The driver turned directly into the path of another vehicle that was traveling east on SR-200 striking that car causing it to overturn, according to an FHP accident report.

The only person wearing a seatbelt or restraints in the vehicle that flipped was the driver, according to FHP. One of the passengers was a 2-year-old. Both passengers in the SUV, which included a 17-year-old, were wearing seatbelts, according to FHP.

Police said all of the occupants are in serious condition.
