MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a school bus and a truck that led to one student reporting a minor injury Thursday morning.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office tweeted about the crash, saying it happened at Branan Field and Old Jennings roads in the Middleburg area. FHP is the lead agency investigating the crash, and CCSO is assisting, according to the tweet.
The Clay County School District tells First Coast News the crash involved a district-owned school bus, which was hit by a utility truck, based on the transportation report. There were 40 students on board the bus at the time of the crash.
Although one student did report a minor injury, no one was taken to the hospital to be treated.
According to the FHP traffic incidents website, the crash happened around 8:18 a.m. No road blocks were necessary.
