PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A 52-year-old motorcyclist from Ponte Vedra Beach is dead after a crash on State Road 19 in Putnam County Sunday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At approximately 3:47 p.m. Sunday, the motorcyclist was traveling east on State Road 20 toward the intersection of SR-19, a traffic report states.
At the same time, a vehicle was driving west on SR-20 approaching the same intersection at SR-19.
As the motorcyclist drove through the intersection, the vehicle made a left turn and the motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle, according to the report.
The 52-year-old man riding the motorcycle died from his injuries. The 24-year-old driver and 26-year-old passenger of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The crash is still pending investigation.
