JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At least one person was injured after a crash Wednesday night on Jacksonville's Westside.
The crash happened in the 10500 block of Normandy Boulevard, near Cold Creek Boulevard.
According to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, one person was trapped due to the crash. The person was successfully extricated from their vehicle and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The JFRD says a power line was also involved in the crash. Power does not appear to be affected, according to the JEA power map.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the westbound lanes of Normandy Boulevard in the area are shut down. The eastbound lanes are open.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
