CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A woman is dead after leaving the roadway in Clay County Friday at about 6 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol said.
An SUV was traveling northbound on Oakleaf Plantation Parkway and Eagle Landing Parkway and "for unknown reasons left the roadway," according to to FHP.
The vehicle's left and right side struck two trees and overturned against another tree, the report said. The driver, a 57-year-old Orange Park woman, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
