JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 South near Old St. Augustine Road is causing massive backups for drivers Tuesday, as several lanes of traffic are shut down while crews work to clean up the crash site.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said no one was injured in the crash.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said traffic is being diverted to Old St. Augustine, then to Philips Highway.
The Florida Department of Transportation reported the crash at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday and listed the crash as "major" on its website.
In a video from FDOT, a "rock truck" is seen on its side in the middle of I-95 South as vehicles drive by in the outside lane.
At this time it's unclear how long lanes will be shut down. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
This is a developing story.
