JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after crashing his Harley Davidson motorcycle Thursday morning in the 600 block of Pritchard Road. Police said the rider, who was traveling at a "high rate of speed" was traveling in the westbound lane in the left turn lane. The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, attempted to pass eastbound traffic and failed to negotiate a curve. The rider crashed into the median. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
