ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A man is dead after a crash on State Road 16 in St. Johns County Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
An FHP crash report states around 9:17 p.m., a pickup truck was traveling east on SR-16 east of Kenton Morrison Road in the outside lane.
FHP said the truck traveled off the road onto a shoulder before rotating and hitting a ditch. The truck overturned, coming to a final rest on its roof on the shoulder.
The man driving the truck was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
FHP is working to determine the identity of the victim.
The report states the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
