Lanes of San Jose Boulevard to close for JEA water main break repair

JEA said the lanes will likely be closed for the remainder of the week or until crews repair the water main.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Parts of San Jose Boulevard will be closed starting Monday evening as JEA crews work to repair a water main break.

A JEA spokesperson said the two inside southbound lanes of San Jose Boulevard from Plummer Cove Road to Old River Road, and two inside northbound lanes from Ricky Road to Claire Lane will close at 8 p.m. Monday.

The closures mean only one lane of San Jose Boulevard will be open for drivers in the affected areas.

JEA said the lanes will likely be closed for the remainder of the week or until crews repair the water main.

Drivers are advised to take Interstate 295 if they plan to take San Jose Boulevard into or out of Downtown Jacksonville.

"Crews will be working as efficiently and safely as possible to complete the work. We apologize for any impact on commuters and the community," JEA said in a release.
