JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating an officer-involved crash with injuries on the Westside.
It happened at Blanding Boulevard and Lake Gray Boulevard Thursday morning.
In a briefing, JSO said two patients were taken to the hospital following the three-car crash. A driver rear-ended an officer, then bounced off and hit another vehicle, police said.
Both patients who were taken to the hospital are expected to be OK, JSO said.
Police are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible. First Coast News crews on the scene observed an additional crash on the same road on the way to the scene.
