JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after two men were struck by a semi-truck on West Beaver Street.
JSO said the accident happened Friday around 5:15 p.m. at 11300 West Beaver Street.
Two men were working on a drain grate located near the semi-truck fueling islands in the parking lot of the business when they were struck by a semi-truck, according to officers.
JSO said one man was treated for his injuries at the scene then released. The second victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, officers found that the semi-truck was heading eastbound on West Beaver Street and made a left hand turn into the parking lot of the business.
The truck then hit the two men and came to a stop. The driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and spoke with investigators.
