JACKSONVILLE, Florida — A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a pole Monday night in Jacksonville's Normandy area.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 33-year-old Jacksonville man, was headed east on Normandy Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At about 8:15 p.m., the motorcyclist left the road and hit a utility pole on the right shoulder of Normandy Blvd. near Lindsey Rd, the FHP said.
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene, the FHP reported.
The crash was one of three deadly crashes that happened Monday evening and night in the Jacksonville area. A woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a fourth crash on Lem Turner Road.
