JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people are dead after a crash on Normandy Boulevard Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP says after a preliminary investigation into the incident, two pedestrians were walking northbound across Normandy Boulevard when they walked into the path of a vehicle driving westbound.
The vehicle crashed into the two pedestrians, a 45-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman, killing one at the scene, according to FHP.
The other was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.
The 60-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured.
JFRD posted on X, the platform formally known as Twitter, Sunday night that one person was confirmed dead after the crash.
