Jacksonville woman dies after jumping from moving vehicle on I-95

While on the entrance ramp to I-10 from I-95, a 30-year-old female passenger in the front seat jumped out of the vehicle as it was moving, according to FHP.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville woman was killed in an incident on I-95 early Monday morning in which she jumped from a moving vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 39-year-old man was driving a Dodge pickup truck northbound from I-95 to the I-10 westbound entrance ramp around 12:50 a.m., an FHP report states. While on the entrance ramp, a 30-year-old woman who was the passenger in the front seat jumped out of the vehicle as it was moving, according to the report.

Investigators do not know why the woman jumped from the vehicle, according to the report. The woman's head struck the pavement, resulting in her death, the report states.
