Allen recalls the moment he received the devastating phone call. He happened to be near the scene of the crash.

"And I immediately rode past the site and I seen it and it just, I rode past it so I felt it," Allen said.

He and the family is now remembering Galan for her kind spirit and uplifting personality.

"She was more beautiful on the inside than out because of the type of heart she had, for all those around her, it doesn’t matter if she knew you or not.  If you ask her for something she’ll give it to you," Allen said.
