JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: Traffic is now moving in both directions as of 3 p.m.

Update: Northbound traffic has started to move at around 1:35 p.m.

Update: Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released the following information at 1 p.m. "I95 NB/SB are both closed from W 8th St to Lem Turner Rd due to police activity."
Some of the officers on the scene can be seen carrying firearms. One person appeared to exit a vehicle and was handcuffed by officers.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office vehicles are blocking north and southbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 95 Monday afternoon. The lanes remain blocked after 12:40 p.m. Police have not yet released any information. Some officers were standing outside of their vehicles.
