JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville’s Hart Bridge will close from Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m. until Sunday, October 23 at 6 a.m. and again on Sunday, October 23 from 9 p.m. until midnight for bridge repairs.
Traffic attempting to travel eastbound will be detoured to Atlantic Boulevard and signs will direct motorists to the Acosta Bridge, then to Broad Street. Motorists attempting to take the Hart Bridge westbound will be detoured to Broad Street and signs will direct traffic to the Acosta Bridge and Atlantic Boulevard.
The improvements to the Hart Bridge include the replacement of wire rope, coating of structural steel, drainage work and steel plate rehabilitation.
